Contrary to previous speculations, Billy Crawford claimed he and Coleen Garcia have been officially together since July of this year.
It can be recalled that the two have been an item, following Billy’s controversial breakup with longtime girlfriend Nikki Gil sometime in June last year.
Asked about the time they started developing romantic feelings for each other, the 32-year-old TV host-singer-dancer replied, “Of course, nung single naman ako.
“Hindi naman ako nag-overlap. Kasi naging girlfriend-boyfriend kami July 2014.”
Billy claimed that they actually went through a long courtship because “you can’t force love.”
He added, “Since last year of August or July [I courted her]. Mas nagustuhan ko yung ‘oo.’ Yun ang mas naramdaman ko.”
The fact that they work with each other in It’s Showtime on a daily basis has only made their bond grow stronger.
“I don’t think na may disadvantage na magkasama kami sa show. Ang advantage talaga magkasama kami araw-araw and we get to kwentuhan back stage, naghaharutan…
“She really brings out the best in me. She makes me feel young. She makes me happy. The medicine of being young is just being happy,” he explained.

PEP caught up with Billy before the presscon proper of Moron 5.2 held at Music Hall, Metrowalk in Pasig City last October 7.
Billy further shared that the thing he loves the most about Coleen is her strength of character amid the controversies they went through together.
The most recent of which was when Billy got detained after causing a scene at a police station in Taguig last month.
“It’s a blessing in disguise. Hangang-hanga ako kung gaano siya kalakas.
“Alam mong you can trust her with anything,” said Billy.
Despite their ten-year age gap, he also admitted that Coleen’s more mature when it comes to handling their relationship.
“Siguro lahat naman tayo may pagkatigas ng ulo. Ako may pagkatigas ng ulo. Si Coleen minsan may pagkatigas ng ulo.
“Pero 98.9 percent of the time siya ang tama. So, mahirap, e. Kahit [siya ang] mas bata. Wala na sa edad ‘yan.”
Asked if he considers Coleen as “The One,” Billy answered with a firm “yes.”
He further shared that he would love to settle down and start raising his own family soon.
But he maintained that it has to be the right time for him and Coleen, who’s only 22 years old.
“Siguro I don’t want her to stop thinking about her priorities kasi bata pa siya.
“She wants to continue to pursue her career as an actress. She wants to go back to school. Ang dami pa niyang gustong gawin.
“I want it to be the perfect time for her and for me. Hopefully, soon,” he stressed.
For his part, Billy said he plans to take up a Business course as part of his individual growth.
As it is, he has never tried venturing into business because he’s so focused on his showbiz career.
“Ako, probably, start a business of my own. Knowing the fact that I can be more stable para sa pamilya ko,” he stated.
