YES! Magazine’s November 2014 issue sizzles with “The Sexy Dozen,” the YES! List of 2014’s sexiest men in showbiz.
In photo shoots and exclusive interviews, the men on the list bare their well-maintained physiques—and some of their secrets and passions. “What sets apart the dozen actors on the following pages,” YES! explains in the introductory section, “is that indefinable extra: real charisma, an air of mystery, that edge which allows us to walk the fine line between humdrum reality and breathless fantasy.”
“The Sexy Dozen” of 2014 are Dennis Trillo, Richard Gomez, Robin Padilla, Jericho Rosales, Alden Richards, Dingdong Dantes, Daniel Padilla, James Reid, Vic Sotto, John Estrada, Derek Ramsay, and Piolo Pascual.
Also in this issue, YES! Magazine visits the house where singer Zsa Zsa Padilla and architect Conrad Onglao happily reside. The lovely twosome share stories of the heartbreak they went through in the past, their search for a new life, and how they found each other.
Zsa Zsa opens up about her struggle to move on after the death of The Comedy King Dolphy, her companion of 23 years. At one point in the article, she confesses that, after her first date with Conrad, “I cried when I went home, ’cause I still felt torn. I still felt that it was a betrayal of some sort, di ba? When a person dies, he can do no wrong. You put him on a pedestal.” These and more in this issue’s Celebrity Home section.
In another section, writer-director Lav Diaz takes YES! into his creative process and shares his thoughts on the many facets of filmmaking. He cites his father as one of his strongest influences: “Every weekend, we would go to Tacurong. City siya ngayon sa Sultan Kudarat, but back then, it was a small town. Mula sa bundok, maglalakad kami ng limang kilometro hanggang sa highway, tatawid pa kami ng ilog, ’tapos mag-aabang kami ng trak o bus na masasakyan.”
Know the rest of the story in “Lav Diaz: A Genius in Our Midst” in this issue’s Cinema section.
Also in this issue is a photo feature on the showbiz couples who walked the red carpet at Star Magic Ball 2014.
The November 2014 issue of YES! magazine is now available at newsstands and in bookstores, convenience stores, and supermarkets nationwide. A digital edition of YES! is also available for download on mobile devices.
