Mike Tan sees 2015 to be filled with "success, fruitful, and healthy living."
The year started for the Kapuso dramatic actor with a contract from Boardwalk to be the face and body of its Men's Basic Collection—the brand's line of underwear.
Mike says of his newest endorsement to kick off his career in 2015, "Yes, 'yan yun pinaka-key doon.
"Naging parte ako ng Boardwalk family, I'm very thankful and I feel so blessed..."
What did he do to achieve the kind of body that his endorsement required?
Mike laughs loudly and answers, "Lahat ng klase ng workout!
"Lahat talaga. I run, I swim, I go to the gym."
It was Avel Bacudio, the direct-selling company's head designer, who asked Mike to trim down to a 30-inch waistline.
The next time the actor went to see the designer, "30 na ang waistline!"
On closer look, Mike and his personality do not seem to jibe with the colorful and bold prints of the underwear line.
UPCOMING PROJECTS. So what new things can be expected from Starstruck Season 2's Ultimate Male Survivor?
His last soap was Kambal Sirena in early 2014, and he is hoping to have a new series this first quarter, "Sana, sana magsimula na at sana matuloy. Pagdasal natin.
It is very timely that he recently came on board a movie entitled Panginoong Diyos-Diyosan, which is about a godless leadership in society for more than three decades.
Directed by Cesar Evangelista Buendia, Mike explains a little bit about where it will be shown.
He also shares how he feels about being selected to be a part of this, "Nakakatuwa kasi siyempre, pinagkatiwalaan nila ako sa ganoon klaseng role.
This movie, the actor says, is a challenge to him, "E never naman ako naging aktibista.
"Never ko na-experience yun.
For him, the project is a lesson in in-depth acting, "Kailangan kumbisidong-kumbisido sila sa sinasabi nila, lahat truth, walang fake sa sasabihin."
He does not know yet who else has signed in for the movie, "Ako, ang alam ko palang si Ms. Gina Alajar, kaya sobrang excited talaga ako
In an August 2014 article, it was reported that several names had been confirmed to do the movie. Apart from Gina Alajar and Mike Tan, they are Benjamin Alvez, Venus Raj, Lucho Ayala, Joyce Ching, Icko Gonzales and Roi Vinzons, among others.
Is the movie the reason why he didn't pursue doing a stage play for Cultural Center of the Philippines as was speculated and discussed in 2014?
