In That Thing Called Tadhana, JM de Guzman plays Anthony who helps girls move on from their former flames.
JM admits being a grand romantic himself, so what will he be on Valentine's day?
“Wala e, wala maghihintay kay cupid,” he joked in a chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last Monday, February 9, at the Safehouse Gym in Quezon City.
“Siguro [taping] pero wala po akong plano nun e,” he added.
The Kapamilya actor may not have anything planned for the day of hearts, he narrated to PEP how he staged a surprise dinner for a special someone on Valentine’s Day years ago.
“Sa isang restaurant, pina-set up ko siya ng Valentine’s theme.
"May cake, 'tapos yung mga waiter, binulungan ko, so dun kami kumain.”
Was this lucky girl, perhaps, his ex-girlfriend Jessy Mendiola?
“Secret.” JM answered.
He may be tight-lipped about the identity of his date, but he hinted when his surprise dinner happened, “Siguro three years ago, four years ago?”
JM also shared the kind of gifts he would give if he had a date. “Siguro bulaklak, or kanta, short song, mga ganyan."
As he is also very much into music, has he written songs for a girl, “Oo naman, mushy.”
