YouTube sensation Jam Vhille Fernando Sebastian, better known as Jam, and his girlfriend Michelle Liggayu rose to fame in 2011 after their cover of song "By Chance" online hit more than seven million views.
Together they became known as Jamich.
Jam had said in an interview with StarStudio Magazine that they’ve been a couple since 2008.
Last March 2014, Jam publicly admitted that he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
Earlier today, March 4, 2015, almost a year later, Jam was taken off life support.
He passed away peacefully, with his family and Mich by his bedside, at the St. Luke's Medical Center Global in Taguig City.
He was 28 years old.
His brave battle with cancer was publicized and followed in social media, gaining the sympathy of netizens and celebrities.
Jam will be remembered for his delightful vignettes on video, exuding happiness despite his illness. Here are some of his memorable moments.
1. "BY CHANCE"
This song became a hit in 2011 after Jamich uploaded it on their YouTube channel, JamichTV. The real-life couple became known as one of YouTube’s most-loved couples after their quick rise to fame.
2. NENENG WHY AND BOY PICK UP
Jam and Mich made fans laughed at their spoof of Bubble Gang's segment. Jam appeared on their YouTube channel spoof as Kid Pick Up while Mich played Neneng Why.

Their short-film version of "By Chance" had a dance version follow-up that became a trend among their fans last 2011.
4. CANCER BATTLE
Jam admitted to the public last March 2014 he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
"After CT scan, doon nakita na 'di pala asthma sakit ko, kundi may bukol sa lungs.
"Sobrang takot ko nung narinig ko sa doctor na it's either infection or worst, cancer," he wrote on Instagram.
"Iba pakiramdam, dude, kahit malamig para akong pagpapawisan sa narinig ko.
"Sabay hagulgol pa ng mama ko sa tabi ko. Wala akong choice kundi maging matibay at manalig kay Lord."
After the shocking discovery, Jam fought bravely and remained positive all throughout his bout with cancer:
"Ang malas ng cancer cells, ako pa napili.
"'Di nila alam na may Yexel ako na kasama kong lalaban, may Paolinne Michelle pa!"
5. FLASHMOB PROPOSAL
Months after his diagnosis, Michelle proposed to Jam through a flash mob during The Feast, a weekly Catholic event. The unconventional proposal was a manifestation of courage and hope for the young couple whose long-term goal was to get married.
6. VICE GANDA SHOWS UP
During the last few months of Jam’s battle with cancer, an outpouring of support came from netizens and celebrities who were inspired by Jam’s positivity through his pain.
He wished to see me again and so i visited him. Thank you so much Lord for allowing me to touch someone's life today. And also for allowing me to be touched by someone's journey. Keep the faith Jam. Miracles happen everyday. God bless you!

It was Jam’s wish to see one of his celebrity idols, Vice Ganda. He and Mich had guested in Gandang Gabi Vice. Last February, Vice fulfilled Jam's wish and paid him a visit.
