Angel Locsin on her newest favorite make-up collection from Avon: “Ang ginamit ko kanina 'precious shells' [eye make-up palette] at 'poppy love' [lip shade].

If there’s one thing Angel Locsin is not, it’s the fact that she can never be described as kikay.

She has always been known for seemingly-boyish personality especially with her love for big cars, gun shooting, and action-packed acting stints.

But Angel has since learned the art of putting on make-up that comes with the nature of her showbiz career.

At the recent press launch of Avon’s Tropical Paradise make-up collection, Angel told (Philippine Entertainment Portal) glamming up has become easier for her.

“Nakakatuwa, I have a confession talaga.

“Pag ginawa mo siyang contrast or neutral shade, perfect talaga.”

She also revealed three easy-to-follow beauty routines for women on the go.

1. Learn to mix and match your make-up.

To achieve her look for the event, Angel opted for Avon’s “precious shells” eye makeup palette with shades of opal, sand, mocha flash, and smoked teal.

Her neutral eye make-up made a cool contrast to her fiery red lipstick.

And to keep her make-up fresh all night long, she can just dab a little of Avon’s neutral-toned oil control pressed powder.

According to Angel, her favorite make-up artists Lala Flores and Krist Bansuelo gave her tips on how to mix and match the makeup collection she's endorsing.

“Kahit nga no make-up ka lang. Just wear the [red] lipstick ang laking difference [na sa total look mo].”

The make-up collection also offers the “aquatic life” eye palette with shades of latte, pebble, coral, and sea spray.

But if you want to play up your eyes with vibrant colors, make sure to balance your look with a neutral-colored lipstick like “toasted rose” or “beyond pick” from Avon’s Tropical Paradise make-up collection.

"Kasi tayong mga Pilipina, pag may [vibrant] color yung eye shadow, 'Ay, baka too much!'

"But now I've tried the shades of blue and green [sa eye shadow], bagay pala sa mga Pilipina, hindi lang siya pang-mestiza."

2. Use BB (blemish balm) cream for a skin-friendly but polished look everyday.

During ordinary days, Angel prefers to keep her make-up light and natural to give her skin some breather.

“Mas skin care kasi siya at the same time make-up.”

3. Maintain a good personal hygiene.

Angel believes that the best way to stay fresh all the time is to keep good hygiene habits—from taking a bath on a regular basis to washing off your make-up before going to bed at night.

“So, siyempre yung hygiene is very important talaga.”
