With a more flexible schedule, Lorna Tolentino enjoys spending more time with her family and playing with her granddaughter Tori.

At this stage in her life, Lorna Tolentino is putting health as one of her top priorities.

“'Health is wealth,' sabi nga nila.

“Iyon na iyong parang bonus mo sa buhay kung healthy iyong sarili mo,” she said at a recent Watsons Generics event at the SM Mall of Asia.

She added, “Kasi papaano iyong mga susunod mo pang gustong gawin if you’re not healthy, di ba?”

FAMILY TIME. With a lighter workload, Lorna related she now has more time with her family.

“I'm not really working full-time.

“I don't have a teleserye, only guesting, and taping once a week.

"So mas may time ako mag-travel with them [family], go out of town or out of the country.

LOLA LORNA. According to the multi-awarded actress, another reason she is paying more attention to her health is she wants to have more time with her three-year-old granddaughter, Tori.

“Natatawa nga ako e from lola naging ‘Lols,’” Lorna laughed, referring to Tori’s term of endearment.

“I love my granddaughter, she’s my inspiration to really be strong.

“And, well, para naman makasama ko siya nang mahaba.”

She said being around Tori has helped her see things in a new perspective.

“She’s into swimming… she thinks she’s a mermaid.

“I’m so lucky that her mom is a principal now sa school.”

Lorna, as a grandmother, has also found new hobbies.

“Meron siyang make-up set na, kunyari, ‘I will contour your nose, do eyebrows’ set, ganun.

“‘Pretend only,’ ‘yan iyong sasabihin niya.

"‘Okay, I’ll put more blush on,’ meron siyang palette kunyari.

At her tender age, Tori does have an idea of her lola’s stature as a public figure.

“Alam niya na I’m an actress," Lorna smiled.

Is Tori showing signs of continuing the family's legacy?

"Kapag tinatanong ko siya, sasabihin niya, ‘I want to be a ballet dancer, a singer.’

"Total performer ang dating.”
