Dingdong Dantes, Piolo Pascual, and other stars share lessons learned from Kuya Germs

From That's Entertainment to StarStruck, German Moreno was able to show his brand of professionalism.

Star builder German Moreno, aka Kuya Germs, honed aspiring stars and launched their careers in the 80s and 90s through his classic variety shows GMA Supershow and That's Entertainment.

But more than these, he became a father figure and a mentor in showbiz for over 50 years.

Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, Kris Bernal, Barbie Forteza, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Arthur Solinap were among the many stars who got some guidance from Kuya Germs during the birth stage of their showbiz career.

On the fourth day of Kuya Germs's wake on January 4, at Mt. Carmel Shrine in Quezon City, all five of them revealed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) the most valuable lessons they learned from the Master Showman.

GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH CO-STARS. Celebrity couple Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap taught them about pakikisama.

HUMILITY. For Kris Bernal, Kuya Germs should be emulated for staying grounded despite his stature.

She continued, "For me, kung ano yung lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin, always be humble, yun yung sikreto ng isang star.

"And don't forget to always look back, lagi mong balikan kung saan ka galing."

PROFESSIONALISM. Barbie Forteza witnessed how professional Kuya Germs was as an actor.

They worked together in the 2012 GMA fantaserye Paroa.

But Kuya Germs wasn't just a co-star to Barbie but a father figure as well.

CONFIDENCE. Piolo Pascual will not be who he is today if not for Kuya Germs, who advise him to have confidence when he was just a showbiz newbie.

Piolo said, "Actually, first TV work ko, That's Entertainment, I was in third year high school mahiyain ako, parating laging nasa likod.

LOYALTY. For Dingdong Dantes, Kuya Germs epitomized loyalty.

"Hindi lang naman loyalty as a word, but as how you live it or how you uphold it.
