Georgina Wilson says there's more to her job as a model than posting perfect selfies

Georgina Wilson on being a model: "There's so much work that goes into it."

Looking at their social media accounts, models seem to lead a glamorous and jet-setting lifestyle.

You would see them posting their #OOTD taken in Hong Kong; a photo with the New York streets as their backdrop in the next; then, another selfie in Milan, Italy.

And their wardrobe, hair, and make-up are always on point!

Brands also tap them to use their products.

One of these top models is Georgina Wilson.

Premium brands naming her as their Style Setter.

But the globetrotting celeb wants the aspiring models to understand that it also takes a bit of patience and hard work to get to where she is.

At the TRESemme's #StandUpToStylingDamage event held on Thursday, March 17, in SM Makati, Georgina told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) some realities of her work.

"Imagine if, like, your saddest day you have to go on stage and be happy,

"There’s so much work that goes into it. Really long hours, even if you’re tired.

"People see the glamorous side, but there are a lot of struggles especially for a public figure."

She has to look her best most of the time because people follow her closely, and some are quick to point out her flaws.

Georgina said, "They feel that you are super open to scrutiny, and I guess that’s still something I have a hard time with."

You would think she had gotten used to it by now, but she underlined, "Well, I’m human until now.

"I’m quite sensitive. I just have to learn how to block it all out."
