At the celebration of his 37th birthday on September 22, at the Motora Azul Caf 1955 in Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City, the Kapamilya actor took a moment to talk about his new endeavor.
Present were fellow motorcyclists (L-R) Paolo Abrera, Drew Arellano, and Ryan Agoncillo (not in photo).
“It started with a hashtag and it started two years ago.
"There was one thing that I noticed, a lot of Filipinos living abroad or the kids of OFWs, they didn't have a radar or they didn’t know what’s happening in Manila.”
Being exposed to many thrilling adventures around the metro, Jericho wanted to have a bigger platform which will tackle the lifestyle of a Manileno and his passions, motorcycling and surfing.
“We wanted to show Filipinos from all over the world that we got something good happening in Manila. So this is not about me.”
The Kapamilya actor, by the way, is a good photographer so expect riveting photos, GIFs, and videos to accompany his stories.
Jericho continued, “Mr. Manileno stands for the global Filipino gentleman.
"[We will] feature notable men that are doing great things sa industry nila, so we wanted to highlight on them para makita ng mga tao na there’s something good happening—not just in the Philippines but abroad.
“So, we feature artists, musicians, directors, whoever is influential na dapat maging influential."
He gave his wife, Kim Jones, a special shout-out for pushing him to get the project done.
Kim is a fashion blogger.
