Victoria's Secret Angels Lais Ribeiro and Romee Strijd are often seen with glamorous makeup in fashion editorials and campaigns.

But when they're off-duty, these New York City-based supermodels prefer the "no makeup" look.

At their launch as the new faces of Penshoppe Beauty Pop last Wednesday, June 26, Lais and Romee were asked by the press for some tips on how their Filipino fans can nail their smashing natural look.

First off, their secret? Clear, healthy skin.

Romee said, "I think it's important to really do skin care before because you prepare your skin for the makeup.

"I feel like if you do natural makeup, that's really important."

The 23-year-old Dutch model also stressed the importance of proper diet to healthy skin.

She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "For me, it's really important what I eat because I feel like, when you eat healthy fats and everything, it's good for your skin.

"And also hydration. Drink a lot of water."

For her part, Lais said she uses coconut oil "for everything," and also suggested to have a handy multi-use product.

The 28-year-old Brazilian beauty added, "A lipstick that you can use on your lips, on your cheek, and as an eye shadow, as well."

THE SUPERMODEL ATTITUDE

Both ladies have been modeling for a decade now. When asked about the secret to their longevity, Lais said the optimism should never wane.

Her advice, "I think a model has to be not thirsty, [but] hungry.

"As a model, it's just good for you, you know, just trying to be better and better and better.

"And of course, to have goals, to have dreams like campaigns. It keeps you motivated."

This is Lais and Romee's first time to visit the Philippines.

They both wish to "come back," and hope to see Palawan.

Lais told PEP.ph, "We didn't have time. We're supposed to but it's raining season so we're not gonna go. So maybe we'll come back!"
