She went for a purple hue just four months later.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on Tuesday, November 12, Jessica says, "I did a lot of things to my hair. My hair was like this kind of color but it was longer before.

"And I just wanted to dye it red, so I dyed it red. And then I wanted to [dye it] pink but with red hair, it was hard to strip it out. It will kill your hair.

"So I was like, 'You know what, I don't want red hair anymore.' So I decided to chop it off. That's where the short hair came. And then I went from pink to purple to this."

Changing your hair color may be cool, but the chemicals found in hair dyes usually cause breakage, brittleness, and dryness.

With several hair color changes in a year, the 24-year-old singer knows that it's important to have a proper hair care routine that can keep your hair shiny and healthy after undergoing color treatments.

She tells PEP.ph, "I shower with lukewarm water, and then after I get out of the shower, you don't rub it. You kind of squeeze it out a little bit, and gently massage your hair."

Asked about a product she would recommend for those who also dye their hair, she says, "I put Olaplex in my hair. It's amazing, amazing!"

Jessica uses Olaplex's three-part treatment every time she dyes her hair.

The Olaplex No.1 Bond Multiplier is added directly to the permanent hair dye solution. Meanwhile, the Olaplex No.2 Bond Perfector is part of the post-coloring conditioner treatment.

Both are done by salon professionals only.

She continues the hair care treatment using the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector. This cream product helps strengthen the hair from the inside and reduce breakage.
