Pia Wurtzbach has been taking a break from her usual beauty routines.

As the former beauty queen stays home during the enhanced community quarantine, she has foregone putting on make-up, and turned to homemade products for skin care.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 5, Pia uploaded her latest no make-up selfie and wrote, "Using this time to let my skin breathe [emoji] I've been so curious about homemade beauty remedies.

In a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the former Miss Universe titleholder said that she has started putting more importance on skin care now that she is 30.

"My goal is to look good even without make-up. When I was much younger, I would say, 'May glam team naman, sila na bahala.'

"But now, I’m putting more value into it, I’m investing more time in it and more effort for it."

The Kapamilya star also tries to get eight hours of sleep daily, which she described as her "instant beauty treatment."

Pia keeps her skincare routine to a minimum and only uses the essentials: cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

But one of the most important steps in her skincare routine is to get enough sleep.

She said, "If you want to look fresh kinabukasan, matulog ka lang nang maaga."
