Celebrities and beauty vloggers have their own share of beauty problems.

ABS-CBN actress Liza Soberano and beauty vlogger Raiza Contawi revealed this during a digital press conference with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press on Friday, August 7.

The virtual event was for Nivea's Come Into Full Bloom campaign.

Liza recalled trying a beauty trend that she thought was cool at the time.

"One beauty trend [na I won't do] if ever it comes back, I will never shave my eyebrows really thin.

"I made a mistake of doing that before and the hair never grew back the same way. So, I won’t do it again ever," she said with a laugh.

For her part, Raiza revealed that she has acne-prone skin, which is why she stays away from the beauty trend of putting on too much make-up.

She explained, "Iyong mga 100 layers of make-up, iyong mga ganung like, iyong mga super patong ng make-up. I have acne-prone skin so anything na nakaka-clog ng pores will just break out my skin."

In fact, the beauty vlogger believes that "when it comes to make-up, less is more."

Even experts support Raiza's beauty philosophy, as she added, "As cliché as it may sound, but every make-up artist na tatanungin mo who is into long-lasting and make-up na friendly sa skin, they will always say na less is more."

What are their beauty discoveries during the quarantine?

Liza said she has always kept a simple skin-care routine that has only three steps: cleanse, tone, and moisturize.

She explained, "I don’t like it when my skin-care routine kind of becomes, like I always say, kind of like a chore to me.

"I don’t like the feeling that I have to do it, you know, to look decent. I’m more the on-the-go type. I just want one or two products and I’m good."

Having a dry skin type, Liza makes sure to use the right products on her face.

She cautioned about using products with alcohol.

She said, " I know a lot of us know this because we’ve been using alcohol a lot lately. We can see how drying it is and how much it can damage our skin."

Aside from this, Liza has started using fuss-free beauty gadgets.

She recently discovered the wonders of LED light therapy face masks.

Liza said, "Someone actually sent that to me, and I’ve been using that regularly and it’s pretty effective, actually.

"Napansin ko when I had one pimple and I used the mask, next morning, the pimple was dry."

Raiza said she has also been obsessed with this beauty gadget. In fact, she owns two LED face masks.

The 28-year-old social media influencer said, "I think nagiging trend ngayon iyong home spa because hindi tayo makakalabas.

"And home spa or iyong beauty gadgets are actually my collection. I love collecting mga ganun since way back 2016 pa ata or 2017.

"So now, I love na parang mas maraming options kasi mas maraming nagbebenta ngayon. Skin is the trend talaga this quarantine."

Raiza added that these LED face masks emit light depending on your need.

"Iyong red is for anti-aging, if you want to stimulate the production of your collagen.

"The yellow one is for brightening. And the blue one, which is my favorite, is for killing the bacteria."
