Ruffa Gutierrez on recent realization about beauty: "Sorry, we don't just wake up like this!"

Ruffa Gutierrez reveals top beauty essential: water.

The year 2017 will be dealing with a “better” Ruffa Gutierrez.

Offhand, she already made a commitment to stay fit.

At the recent Watsons event, she told (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media, “I’ve gone back to the gym.

“So, at my age, hindi na puwede talaga yung diet na lang.

“It has to be really a change in lifestyle that’s why I enrolled in a gym.

“At the same time, I’m taking care of my diet...maintenance din so it’s a lot of things combined, and it’s hard work.”

Contrary to what some may claim about beauty being effortless, Ruffa remarked, “Sorry, we don’t just wake up like this!”

Smiling, she added, “You know [we] really have to exert the extra effort to make ourselves look young, fresh, and youthful looking.”

What’s the frequency of her workout?

At the time of the interview, she said, “Well I just started five days ago and sa five days na yun, naka-four days na ako. Yehey!

“So I’m doing it slowly but surely. Kasi ayoko lang naman na mag-gym ako, excited ako sa umpisa, and then mapapagod ako, and then the whole year, hindi ka na magdyi-gym.”

Her other goal aside from staying fit, “I wanna get stronger every day.”

BEAUTY GOALS. Thanks to her genes, gluthathione, and collagen, the former beauty queen does not worry yet about signs of aging.

Part of her beauty regimen, "I take glutathione, I take two capsules a day so kahit anong klaseng travel ko, kahit anong beach ko, I never get really dark because I take glutathione which is also very healthy to the skin."

She added, "Collagen, especially for working mom like me who’s over thirty years old, talagang not saying real age...importante lang talaga na we should stock up on collagen."

At the brand’s Big White Blowout, which will entitles shoppers discounts when they purchase anti-aging and whitening products until February 22, the former beauty queen shared a few tips to achieve this year's beauty goals.

1. Hydrate.

“Drink a lot of water no matter what you do. Eight to ten glasses whether you are working out or not pinapawisan.”

2. Get enough sleep.

“Sa mga mahilig magpuyat diyan, please, six to eight hours, at kailangan, sa gabi matulog.”

3. Remove makeup.

“Do not be tamad, remove it before you sleep.”
