Fans were concerned after Maris Racal posted cryptic tweets last October 1, 2021. Racal tweeted, “Kapoy...ubos na ubos...” The tweet surprised many. After all, the 24-year-old is thriving, with a new single released, a growing following on social media, and a new love in her life. Maris seems to be having it all.
When she tweeted her feelings to her 3.4 million followers, her fanbase quickly reached out. Even fellow Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo sent words of comfort, as did many other well-wishers. All were hoping Maris wasn’t going through a tough time.
Many curious minds were trying to figure out what the singer-actress meant. They even went so far as to speculate about the meaning of Maris’ new single, “Asa Naman.” But amid the speculations, her followers were flooded by an outpouring of support for Maris, and plenty of encouragement for everyone to stream her new song.
Fans also lauded Maris for releasing a Bisaya single. According to those fans, more regional songs should tap into mainstream Pinoy music. Others complimented how good the song turned out to be and acknowledged the contribution of Maris’ singer-songwriter boyfriend, Rico Blanco.
All asa aside, it turns out Maris’ tweet was a joke and a way to promote the new Sunsilk Triple Sachet!
Fellow Sunsilk hairkada Kathryn Bernardo chimed in to share Sunsilk's Triple Sachet as well. Kathryn tweeted, "MERON PA PALA! Just like the NEW Sunsilk Triple Sachet. Tatlong wash na pero same price pa rin, hairkada!"
