The three-year relationship of actor-model Victor Basa and singer Stephanie Dan culminated in a dreamy wedding held on November 10, Sunday, at the Angelfields Nature Sanctuary in Silang, Cavite.

"The theme was botanical as we are both plant enthusiasts," Victor explained to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview through Instagram's direct message.

HOW DID VICTOR AND STEPHANIE FIRST MEET?

Victor revealed he and Stephanie have known each other for a long time.

He said to PEP.ph, "We were classmates in Brent, but lost touch for a while as I ventured into modeling and acting."

Brent is an international school located in Biñan, Laguna.

On what she likes most about Victor, the bride told PEP.ph, "Sweet, funny and very supportive."

Stephanie elaborated, "My love language is time and service, so he always takes every opportunity to be present for important events and activities knowing it means a lot to me.

"Even the simple events like doing chores to give me a helping hand regardless of his busy days sometimes."

Both Victor and Stephanie attend the Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF), and this means a lot to her.

Stephanie continued, "I also like that we can pray together and discuss what we are thankful for.

"When I'm having a tough day he will always ask me to tell him three things I'm thankful for today.

"He has a way of cheering me up and bringing me back to the right hopeful attitude I should have."

Stephanie believes sharing the same Christian faith with Victor helped them establish a strong bond, and prepared them to enter another chapter in their relationship.

The singer said, "We have mentors who guide us and good friends who pray and encourage us to be more patient and understanding towards others and each other.

"Knowing that marriage was not a means to complete each other but a reflection of Christ's love put us in the right mindset before saying our 'I Wills' that we would work together to glorify God with our love as husband and wife.

"It prepared us to love each other not for what we have done or achieved or our reputation in this life but to see each other the way Christ loves us as imperfect people, as empty vessels willing to be used to serve others towards the knowledge of God's goodness and love."

HOW LONG DID VICTOR BASA AND STEPHANIE DAN PLAN THEIR WEDDING?

Victor and Stephanie only had a few weeks to plan their wedding, after getting engaged in late September 2019.

He said, "It took us eight weeks to plan our wedding, which was very short but just right because it made sure we only stuck to the essentials needed to celebrate occasion.

"We were very hands-on with the planning—from getting the entourage, the ninongs and ninangs, customized gift boxes, concept for decors and plants/flowers, grazing table cheeses, and cold cuts as well."

In the course of planning their big day, the couple found two things to be the most challenging: mixing their ideas for the wedding and planning their guest list.

Victor said, "Hardest part was giving control to one another for the details, guest list seating as it changes almost daily!"

He continued, "Until day of wedding but we hit pretty close to estimate only 8 people over! It's great having reliable friends and family!"

They wanted to keep their guest list short and include those who were part of their journey as a couple.

The model further explained, "We wanted our wedding to be personal and intimate as we are sharing our lives with people who journeyed with us not just in the faith but through our struggles too.

"Our 200+ guest list didn't need to be trimmed, everyone on final list was important."

A number of celebrities was included on Victor and Stephanie's guest list.

Talent manager Arnold Vegafria was one of the couple's principal sponsors.

Arnold congratulated the couple on Instagram and wrote, "I am very proud to have witnessed the unfolding of your unique love story, which stands out as a testament of God's promise of a perfect love at the perfect time. Cheers to new beginnings, as you write inspiring chapters in your new lives together as man and wife. Congratulations, Victor and Stephanie!!!"

What were Victor's favorite moments during the wedding?

Victor answered, "For me, I liked the dressing up in my first-ever tuxedo, dancing with Stephanie, and dancing with Stephanie's lola."

Stephanie, for her part, added, "It was a 5-minute-and-30-second routine. I wanted to do a production number knowing this might be the only time we will ever have to do a dance number.

"We had fun learning and practicing with our teacher Serge.

"And Victor's waltz with Lola was priceless. All the relatives cried as they danced to 'A Million Dreams' from the movie The Greatest Showman.
