Jennica Garcia is both touched and surprised to receive a sunflower bouquet from husband Alwyn Uytingco on Valentine's Day.

On Instagram, the former actress writes, "When these flowers were delivered at my doorstep while he is at work, I panicked upon seeing that it has no roots.

"In my head, 'naku malalanta.'

"Because I keep so many living, rooted plants and trees inside and outside our home that was my initial reaction.

"Our stay-out helper said: 'Malamang Ma’am, bouquet nga eh, paano magkaka-ugat iyan?'

"It was a funny experience that I will not forget.Tama naman siya."

Jennica prefers potted plants and flowers, and Alwyn knows that. How could he have given her a bouquet?

Then she remembers their wedding day in 2014.

Moved by Alwyn's sweet gesture, Jennica gets sentimental in her post.

"SUNFLOWERS, my bouquet during our wedding was sunflowers. It looked just like this.

"I started to tear up as I remembered how I was slowly walking towards him in the altar.

"I prayed and thanked God for the man that I vowed to be with for the rest of my life.

"Now I know why he chose to give me a bouquet of sunflowers for our Anniversary.

"I am reminded of the beautiful memory of saying 'I do' to the man who is the father of my two beautiful children."

Jennica and Alwyn are celebrating their 10th anniversary as a couple. They have two daughters: Athena Mori and Alexis Severina.

Jennica ends her post with a message to those who are loveless today, February 14, "...if you are single, I just want to say that IT'S OKAY. You are not running out of time.

"Waiting for the man God created just for you is worth it. If you take matters in your own hands and rush things, you will miss out on God’s BEST gift to you so keep the faith..."

Her parting shot: "I love you, Alwyn. With or without this bouqet. Thank you for being my FOREVER."

In another post, Jennica writes a lengthier caption thanking her husband for his love and for the many thoughtful ways he shows it.

"Love, thank you for another bouqet of sunflowers for this day where genuine love is celebrated all over the whole world.

"It brings peace in my heart every time our children see you doing acts of love and showing your thoughtfulness to me.

"They see you giving me flowers as a representation of your love. You give me all the plants and trees that I desire even if there is no occassion that calls for it.

"When it is our helper’s day off and I do all the household work, they see you giving me a hand so I can rest like washing the dishes in the morning before they go to school even if you lack sleep from working the night before.

"They see you making hot chocolate for me during the days when I am not at my best and exhausted.

"This is just two of the many things that you do out of your love for me. Dahil nakikita ng mga anak natin ang mga ito alam ko na hindi magiging mababaw ang tingin nila sa pagmamahal.

"When they are older, I know that they will not settle for whoever lays their intention of being a girlfried or a wife because they will want a partner in life that is just like you.

"Sacrificial, God centered, hardworking and above all, someone who always put family FIRST."
