Women, transwomen can watch shows for free at National Planetarium on March 8

Ipinagdiriwang ng buong mundo ang International Women's Day tuwing March 8.

Nakibahagi sa celebration this coming weekend ang National Planetarium sa Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila.

Maaaring manood ang women at transwomen ng mga palabas sa kanilang 4D theater for free ngayong Linggo, March 8.

Inanunsiyo ito ng National Planetarium sa kanilang Facebook at Instagram accounts noong March 1.

Shows scheduled that day are Hayabusa: Back to the Earth at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and A Planet for Goldilocks at 2 p.m.

At dahil ito ay 4D, be sure to buckle up for a seat-throttling experience.

Ang tickets sa shows na ito ay karaniwang nagkakahalagang PHP50 para sa adults, PHP30 para sa mga estudyante, at PHP40 para sa mga senior citizens at persons with disabilities.

Matapos manood ng show ay maaari ka ring mag-ikot-ikot sa kanilang educational at Instagrammable gallery na bukas mula 10 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. with no entrance fee.

Dito makikita ang mga artistic representation ng solar system, major constellations, at celestial events, pati na rin ang mga painting ng astronomical myths at samu't saring impormasyon tungkol sa astronomists.

Ang National Planetarium ay isa sa mga museums na itinayo ng government agency na National Museums of the Philippines.

Ayon sa kanilang website, ibinukas ang planetarium sa publiko noong October 8, 1975.

It underwent a few renovations over the past years, including the latest one in November 2018.

Ni-reopen ang National Planetarium with its latest refurbishment on January 15, 2019.
