KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde are officially #MrMrsTJxKZ.
The newly married couple had an intimate garden wedding in Batangas backdropped by a 300-year-old mango tree.
KZ and TJ didn't think their wedding would push through this year, especially with the pandemic making travel difficult for most people.
In lieu of her dad, it was the singer-TV host Martin Nievera who gave KZ away in the wedding ceremony.
She wrote in her Instagram post dated October 9, 2020, "God finally made our 'Puhon' a reality... our families are in Mindanao and couldn't fly in.
"But our folks being the selfless, understanding, and amazing parents they are, encouraged us to get wed.
"Bittersweet getting married without my parents walking me down the aisle, but I'm thankful that my other dad, @martinnievera, stepped in to give me away.
"With only a handful of people and our families attending through zoom, we held our symbolic wedding under a 300 hundred-year-old Mango tree."
"Puhon" is a word in Bisaya which means "God-willing," "in God’s time," or "someday."
It is also the title of the groom's quarantine song released in June.
KZ and TJ's families were able to witness the wedding via the video conference app Zoom.
FOUR THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT KZ AND TJ'S WEDDING
THE REVEAL
KZ and TJ actually got married on August 28.
They revealed the news through a surprise music video posted October 8.
In the beginning, the newlyweds reveal that they chose a "COVID-free environment" to shoot their video and "everyone involved underwent a series of COVID-19 testings and were cleared before entry..."
They all "complied responsibly with all the strict guidelines."
The video shows a montage of KZ and TJ walking around a garden resort in Batangas.
There are also clips from their wedding day—the preparations, march, ceremony, and reception.
The song "Can't Wait to Say I Do" is playing in the background as the couple happily romps around.
The end frame reveals the wedding date and hashtag.
THE VENUE
KZ and TJ chose The Farm at San Benito—a popular wellness destination in Lipa, Batangas, and has been a "COVID-free safe haven" since it reopened in May 16.
The 300-year-old mango tree is its main attraction not only because of its age, but also for its strong "positive life-giving" energy.
Event stylist Gideon Hermosa and event planner La Belle Fete created a beautiful garden setting for the wedding.
THE KISS
When the pastor told TJ, "you may kiss the bride," he applauded, let out a celebratory cry, and stood there gazing at KZ, who looked like she was about to cry.
They held hands for a moment, exchanged sweet nothings, and leaned forward to kiss.
Hands still intertwined, KZ and TJ savored the moment.
THE BRIDE
True to her character and style, KZ wore an oversized bridal tux on her wedding day.
Light Shine White designed both KZ's bridal tux and TJ's suit.
Stylist Myrrh Lao To, make-up artist Mac Igarta, and hairstylist Mark Familara rounded up the bridal glam team.
