Carol Banawa proves that age doesn't matter when it comes to achieving your dreams.
At 39, the former singer has finally received her diploma in nursing after attending her graduation rights at the Grand Canyon University in Arizona, U.S.
Carol shared the news on Instagram last Sunday, October 18, 2020, and uploaded a photo of herself wearing a purple toga.
In her caption, Carol thanked her husband Ryan Crisostomo, her kids Chelsea and River for their support and for serving as her inspiration.
She wrote, "Another goal achieved! [heart emoji]
"Thank you mahal, for working so hard for us which allowed me to pursue my studies..thank you for always pushing me, supporting me and believing in me [heart emoji]
"Thank you to my children for always being patient with Mama, for understanding the times that I have to stay in front of the computer to finish my posts, papers and projects..I love you all so much [heart emoji]"
Carol also dedicated her achievement to her family.
She continued, "To my Papa, Mama, Kuya and Ate, I finally did it! This is for you guys [heart emoji] Thank you for always believing in me..I hope you are all proud of me. I love you all so much [heart emoji]
"To my relatives and friends who have always supported me, cheered for me, and celebrated with me..thank you, I miss you all and I love you all!"
Towards the end of her post, Carol left an inspiring message to her followers.
"Bachelor's degree before 40. You are never too old to reach for your dreams! Dream it. Believe it. Do it. Conquer it. To GOD be the GLORY!!! [heart emoji]"
Carol left the entertainment industry in 2003.
Since then, she has been working as a licensed practical nurse in the U.S. while studying for her bachelor's degree.
Another good news: on September 12, Carol announced that she and her husband are expecting their third child. She will deliver her baby sometime in April 2021.
