Celebrity beauty doctors Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho Jr. traditionally follow a different theme each year for their Christmas trimmings at home.

But this Christmas, the couple are recycling last year's Mexican-themed Christmas decors for their daughter Scarlet Snow Belo.

The decorations and the Christmas tree were designed and created by Stephen Brown of Glitterville Studios, famously known in the U.S. as the Christmas tree designer to the stars

Since 2016, Vicki has been flying in Steven from the States to Manila to do the Christmas decorations of her home in Forbes Park.

But this year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple have to make do without Steven.

Dra. Vicki informed PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview via Zoom last Tuesday, December 1, 2020, "Dahil sa COVID, hindi sila nakapunta, hindi sila naka-design ng Christmas tree for us."

But for her, what matters more is that Scarlet loves the recycled decorations.

She said, "You know what, it's still so pretty... And Scarlet is enjoying it kasi mahilig si Scarlet sa animals and ang hilig din nila Steven sa animals.

"Meron mga hippopotamus, may donkey, may sloth, may unicorn. So parang for her, hindi na niya maalala yung last year.

"Para sa kanya, bago na naman yung tree niya so happy naman siya."

Good thing, too, that she had kept last year's Mexican-themed decors intact, thinking at that time they could be reused for the Belo flagship clinic in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the following Christmas.

Dra. Vicki continued, "Buti na lang, yung Christmas tree namin last year, pinaligpit ko dahil nagbukas din kami ng clinic last year sa The Fort.

"So ang naisip namin ni Hayden, yung tree namin sa bahay, the next year, ilalagay namin sa The Fort. Pero hindi na sina Steven yung gagawa.

"So nag-hire ako last year nung pag-take down ng tree ng mga professional Christmas tree people and they were able to put it in boxes and organize.

"This year, of course, you fully expect to have a new tree, e, wala.

"So ang ginawa nila, inulit na lang yung tree last year."

The celebrity dermatologist added she and Hayden would have wanted to recreate their "Under The Sea" Christmas theme in 2017.

She said, "I feel bad na hindi ko ginawa itong keeping the decor, last year ko lang ginawa. Kasi my favorite tree is 'Under the Sea.' So pretty! Parang mermaids, corals, shells.

"Ang ganda-ganda tapos 'yung colors niya very happy na pastel. Wala na hindi ko na ma-recreate. Meron din yung Nutcracker, hindi ko na ma-recreate.

"So nafi-feel ko, 'Ay sayang, hindi ko naitago yung mga yun.' So starting this year, hopefully next Christmas, with the vaccination and all, makakapunta na sila dito, magkakaroon na kami ng bagong super bonggang Christmas tree."

Dra. Vicki said she let Stephen and his team do all the planning.

She acknowledged, "Hindi ko na ine-expect yung sarili ko na magaling ako sa ibang bagay at alam ko na may ibang tao na mas magaling sila diyan."

In an Instagram post on Friday, December 4, Stephen hinted that he would have done a "tropical tree" for the Belo family this Christmas.
