“A Night of Giving Back” is a meaningful name to call one's birthday gala.
For the high-spirited businessman Sam "SV" Verzosa Jr., his birthday celebration was an opportunity to give back and give honor to his humble roots.
Held at Cove Manila, Okada, Parañaque City on September 10, 2022, the birthday cum charity grand affair witnessed the giving of the PHP5 million donation to seven deserving beneficiaries: the Anawin Foundation, He Cares Foundation, Light of Jesus Prison Ministry, Jeremiah Foundation, Smile Train, Cottolengo Filipino, and Batang Sampaloc Scholarship Foundation.
Sam said in an interview, “When there is an opportunity to help, I just cannot turn a blind eye and fall on deaf ears but I would rather respond to the call and become a part of the solution.
“As the vice chairman of the Committee on Poverty Alleviation and the Committee on Social Services in the House of Representatives, I would like to amplify my advocacy and reach out to more underprivileged Filipinos as possible to offer assistance and support.”
