Ryssi Avila is not letting anyone or anything get in the way of her son Anghel Avila's christening.
While caught in a controversy regarding the absence of her baby's father, Ryssi successfuly got Anghel baptized.
In a short but sweet Instagram post on January 31, 2023, she wrote, "i gotchu, always."
The photo shows the Idol Philippines alum carrying her son on her lap.
It also shows a wall decor that says 'Happy Christening,' as well as a cake with a personalized cake topper that spells Anghel's name.

In a vlog Ryssi posted a week ago on January 23, 2023, she revealed that she had discreetly given birth while the Idol Philippines was ongoing.
"Actually, hindi ko naman siya itinago, may mga nakakita naman sa akin [na buntis].
"Siniguro ko lang na yung pinagdaraanan ko, ito kung sino lang talaga yung malalapit at pinagkakatiwalaan ko nang sobra.
"Lahat ng mga tumulong sa akin para malagpasan ko yung phase ng buhay ko na yun, at yun po yung pagbubuntis.
"Hindi niyo lang po talaga alam na noong nag-live shows ako, kakapanganak ko lang noon.
"Sinikap ko na tapusin yun, sinikap ko na ilaban yung pangarap ko para sa sarili ko at siyempre para sa anak ko.
"Five months na po yung anak ko. Sobrang excited po ako na maipakilala siya sa inyo, kasi gusto ko rin kayo na maging part sa kung ano yung mga ganap ko sa buhay."
WhO is the father?
Although Anghel's father was nowhere in sight based on the few photos uploaded from the baby's christening, his identity was subsequently confirmed through a social-media spat between Ryssi and Andrea Garcia.
Andrea, the sister of Pornstar 2 actor Jet Delgado, who is apparently Anghel's daddy, wrote under the comments section of the vlog: "Ryssi Avila put your facts straight.. paano naman makikita ng ama kung nilalayo mo yung bata duh."
Ryssi clapped back: "Andrea Garcia nilalayo ko ba o sadyang di lang pinagtutuunan ng oras ng kapatid mo?
"Kung gusto ginagawa, pag hindi daming dinadahilan.
"Buti pa sa gimik at babae, napupuntahan, e. Limang buwan na anak ko, wala pa sa limang beses niya binisita iyan.
"[K]onting hiya naman [di]yan, kung talagang maayos ka e di sana pinagsasabihan mo yung kapatid mo, hindi yung kinukunsinti mo pa.
"Pakisabi rin sa kanya, put his priorities straight," Anghel's mother concluded.
Just a few hours after the vlog was uploaded, Jet also uploaded photos and videos of him with Anghel, with the caption: "Not a secret, just not your business."
