Baby Orion dela Cruz Casareo Jr. or 02 to her family celebrated his first birthday yesterday, November 6, in Kowloon West restaurant.
02 is the youngest child of Kapuso actress Angelika dela Cruz and her husband, Orion Casareo.
His kuya is named Gabby, who is now eight years old.
The birthday boy was given a minions-themed party.
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Angelika about the kiddie party's theme, the actress quips, "Mukha siyang minion! Tingnan mo, nakataas pa ang buhok. Ang guwapo, ‘di ba?"
Kidding aside, Angelika has repeatedly told this writer that O2 resembles his brother, Edward dela Cruz, who passed away last 2010 due to a vehicular accident.
Meanwhile, the guests described the birthday boy as, “Ang guwapo! Ang bait!"
His mom agreed.
“Ganyan talaga siya, mabait saka hindi iyakin. Pero sa bahay, ang daldal!”
BAPTISM. That same day, O2's baptism also happened at the Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Quezon City.
Some of O2's godmothers were Angelika’s friends from PPL Entertainment, Inc., which manages her career.
In attendance: Tracy Baky, her handler, Jolina Magdangal, and Rochelle Pangilinan, who was pictured here with Neil Ryan Sese.
Sunshine Dizon (left), who became Angelika's kontrabida in 90's soaps Umulan Man o Umaraw and Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, and Joyce Ching (right) made time for the party.
Also spotted was Amy Perez, who came with her husband Carlo Castillo and their two sons.
Of course, busy entertaining the guests was Angelika’s younger sister, Mika dela Cruz.
At present, Angelika is on a career break. Her last teleserye in GMA-7 was Hanggang Makita Kang Muli, which ended in July 2016.
The actress said, “Ayoko pa. Pahinga muna ko. Grabe naman kasi, eight months na kong buntis, pero nagtatrabaho pa ako.
“'Tapos, pagkapanganak ko, after one month, nagte-taping na ko, saan ka pa, ‘di ba?
"E, parang ngayon, gusto ko munang mag-rest. So siguro by next year, sandali na lang naman, 2017 na, dun na lang ako magte-taping ulit.”
Off-cam, Angelika is busy as barangay captain of Longos in Malabon City.
