As fathers take center stage today, June 18, we honor their dedication, persistence, and hard work to keeping the family together.
At the launch of Bibi shoes in the Philippines, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to five celebrity moms who raved about their husbands as dads.
Chris Tiu: A doting father
Clarisse Ong described Chris as "very expressive" when it comes to showing his affection for their one-year-old daughter Amanda.
She added, "I think parents before in our previous generations weren't really keen on doing that and, like, he's very loving to her.
"He isn't afraid to express his emotions to the baby, like 'I love you!' 'Good night!' 'I missed you when I was gone.'"
Clarisse also admitted that Amanda is more of a daddy's girl because Chris is also her playmate.
Jun Sunga: An attentive father
Vanessa Matsunaga got kilig when she talked her husband's dedication as a father to their daughter Isabella.
She said, "He's a very good father. He's always concerned about giving her the best. And he really works hard for it, and not only financially, but I see how much the attention is undivided when he's with her.
"She's everything for him.
"In his world, Isabella is like the center. I love that. I love that about him.
"He's very dedicated, not only as a father but as a husband as well."
Lloyd Lee: Calm dad
Shamcey Supsup said her husband Lloyd is the "logical" one between them.
"Si Lloyd sobrang responsible and sobra siyang logical when it comes to whatever problems that we face.
"Lagi siya kalma. Siya yung parang opposite ko.
"Ako kasi medyo panic person.
"Siya naman, talagang he tackles it in a logical way. Parang iisipin niya pros and cons, parang gano'n."
Ryan Tordesillas: Family-oriented
Say Alonzo said once Ryan is home, he gives his full attention to their son Asher.
The family also moved to a home closer to Ryan's work place so he can spend more time with their son.
Say said, "My husband is very, very responsible, and he's super-duper family-oriented.
"He works in a corporate office, so he's busy from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., pero after 5:30, he gets home."
Vince Rodriguez: A hands-on dad
News anchor and TV host Nina Corpuz considered herself "lucky" to be married to a man like Vince.
Nina described him as a "super nice" husband and a "hands-on" dad.
She related, "Every time he's home, he tries to make most of his time with the kids. Read to them—just spend quality time with them because it's hard when you're both working parents.
"So as much as possible, when we're with them, we make sure it's quality time with the children.
"Whether it's just talking with them or asking how the day went or just doing activities with them."
Nina is currently six months pregnant with their third child.
Vince and Nina have two girls, Stella and Emily.
