Judy Ann Santos is turning 40 tomorrow, May 11, and she gets a surprise birthday party tonight, May 10, at the Bank Bar in Bonifacio Global City.
The “secret” party, dubbed Fortylicious, was the idea of her husband Ryan Agoncillo, who sought the help of event organizer Teena Barretto to execute the plan.
Teena says Ryan called her up even before the Agoncillo couple left for Europe last April.
The said trip was also Ryan’s advance birthday gift to his wife of nine years.
Ryan included about a hundred guests, who were all advised to “avoid loitering” until Juday, who was dining with Ryan at a nearby Japanese restaurant, arrives.
Teena and Juday’s manager Jane Buencamino also created a Viber group that included all invited guests so that every detail regarding the party would be easily cascaded.
The guests started arriving at the venue as early as 8:30 p.m., but Juday’s multi-course dinner stalled her arrival.
The clueless celebrant showed up 45 minutes after 10:00 p.m., the supposed start of the party.
The first to greet Juday was her Palawan-based best friend, Ploning director Dante “Ga” Garcia, whom she hasn't seen in a while.
Judging from Juday’s reaction, the party was a huge success.

Another wish of Juday came true tonight: Aegis performed at her party.
Mommy Carol is a big fan of the Pinoy pop rock band, and used to go to Cowboy's Grill to watch them perform.
Sarah Geronimo and Angelica Panganiban joined the birthday girl during the jamming session.
Celebrity sightings included Ogie Alcasid, China Cojuangco, Iza calzado, Juday’s brother Jeffery Santos, Direk Joyce Bernal, Dreamscape’s Deo Endrinal, Jericho Rosales and wife Kim Jones, and Angelica Panganiban.
