Dimples Romana has no Christmas gift to herself.
At the GLAD Feasts event held recently, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Wala na akong gift sa sarili ko. Wala na, e. Naubos na yung budget."
But she wasn't complaining at all.
This 2018, bulk of her income went to property investments—the most recent of which was a house and lot, her gift to her mom and siblings last October.

"Oo, parang super advance gift na yun. Anyway, ang Pasko naman, buong taon, di ba.
"The mere fact na lahat ng wishes ko, hindi man for me, natupad, sobrang okay na ako.
"Saka I have more years to live. Saka na lang, mag-iipon na lang ako ulit."
Aside from the house and lot for her family, she also purchased a farm in Alfonso, Cavite, and an orchard in Batangas. One of her condo units will be turned over this month.
Feeling blessed, the 34-year-ol actress said, is a gift by itself. Hence, instead of asking, she has been brimming with gratitude.
"Ngayon, parang sa akin lang, I feel that gifting people or your family with what you can give them gives me this sense of comfort while doing that bilang ikaw yung meron.
"So parang dun pa lang, busog na ako, okay na ako.
"So parang hindi ko na naiisip na kailangan kong bigyan ang sarili ko kasi pag nakikita ko silang meron, okay na ako."

How about the gift she wants to receive from other people?
The Kapamilya actress paused for a few seconds before answering, "Kung may gift akong gustong ma-receive?
"Wala, peace of mind. Parang yun na lang, e."
Dimples related one of her conversations with husband Boyet Ahmee.
"Sabi ko nga sa asawa ko, ‘Alam mo, my love, every time I wake up in the morning,' and this has been going on for maybe, a good six, seven years already…'When I wake up my love, I always feel so grateful that I have all these things, that nobody is sick in the family, I have a work that I’m passionate about, there’s so much to look forward to in the future.'"
Her idea of a perfect gift goes beyond the material things.
She ended, "Yun lang naman yung gusto mo di ba yung meron kang inaabangan parati para sa sarili mo. And you know, just knowing na I am loved by people that I love and by people that I work with is already enough gift for me."
