“They never made me feel na I was being left behind kahit na working na ang aking batchmates.”

“Since I was young, I have wanted to become an engineer.

At 17 years old, that was my first time being away from my parents.”

Eventually, naka-adjust naman siya sa buhay-college.

“I’m thankful for my friends and classmates in ISU as well as sa support ng mga professors namin.”

Aniya, “I was about to take the ABELE last 2021. Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID-19.”

Sobra umano siyang na-disappoint noong panahon na iyon.

“I also feel na if I took the exam last year with my condition, I won’t perform my best.

“I was discouraged sa result ng rapid test.”

“Good thing na nakauwi naman ako sa amin nang safe, and my parents were very supportive of me.

“This 2022 exam, I felt like everything went smooth.”

“There are questions na I’m really not sure sa correct answer.

“And, no... I really didn’t expect to be on Top 6.”

“My friends and classmates from ISU flooded me with congratulatory messages.

"I really didn’t expect to be on the Top 6!”

“They’ve been so supportive since day 1.

“After ng incident last year na hindi ako natuloy mag-exam, my parents really made me feel na I am not alone.

“They told me not to pursue muna finding a job and focus on reviewing for the board exam.”

“Financial, emotional and mental support. And they never made me feel na I was being left behind kahit na working na ang aking batchmates.”

ENJOY THE PROCESS, IMPORTANTE ANG SUPPORT SYSTEM

“After the ABELE result, there are public and private institutions na nag-offer ng job.

“I am considering entering into research centers or institutions, and eventually work as an instructor for the college of engineering to help educate future engineers.”

Payo niya sa mga gustong kumuha ng engineering, “Make sure you are committed to being an engineer.

“There are struggles na halos feeling mo hindi mo na kaya. But if you love what you do and you are passionate enough, kakayanin mo.”

“College life is hard—the five years of study—dagdag pa ang review and taking of the board exam. Mahirap itong kayanin alone.

“It can drain you mentally, emotionally, and physically. Having a strong support system makes all the difference.”
