A trunk show sale featuring Frederick Peralta's couture creations will happen at the Manila Marriott Hotel until June 23.

Couture creations of renowned Filipino designer Frederick Peralta are currently on sale at the Frederico: An Exhibit and Trunk Show Sale in Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

Frederick, who suffered from a stroke in early 2018, is currently recovering at Home Health Care, a health care service provider for seniors and persons with disabilities located in Anonas Extension, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.

The designer's closest friends were quick to rally behind him and help raise funds for his medical and living expenses.

Michelle Garcia, Marriott Hotel Manila's marketing communications director, wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday, June 16, "Few days ago I visited Frederick Peralta, a father and icon of the Philippine fashion industry.

"I call him mother Fred. Mother Fred is recuperating from a stroke suffered last year.

"Recently he moved in to Home Health Care, a health care service provider with a team of physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, nutritionists/dieticians, medical technologists and trained caregivers.

"The company specializes in delivering wellness programs and services to seniors and persons with disability in the comfort of their homes.

"I invite all my friends in the industry to share the love to Mother Fred through any of the following:

"A. Share this to your friends and our poster on SHOP & HELP trunk sale for Mother Fred.

"B. Join and buy items from our SHOP & HELP trunk sale from June 16-23 at Marriott 7AM to 7PM.

"C. Contribute directly to Mother Fred's recovery through monetary contributions.

"Please contact Len Peralta-Caro (mother Fred's sister) He deserves all our love and support!"

In her post, Michelle uploaded two videos of Frederick, who quite struggled while answering some of her questions.

Nonetheless, the designer, who is currently undergoing therapy, continues to draw.

According to GMA News, his gowns cost PHP8,000 up, while his suits start at PHP2,000.

The trunk show sale will be on until June 23, Sunday.

Same month last year, the first trunk show sale was held for the benefit of the designer.

Now on his 35th year in the industry, Frederick is considered an icon in the Philippine fashion scene.

In 1994, he won the grand prize at the Internacionale des Jeunes Creatures de Mode in Paris, France with his "The Pearl of the Orient" gown.

He also designed gowns for Ai-Ai delas Alas, Kim Chiu, Teresita Ssen Marquez, Assunta de Rossi, Miriam Quiambao, Lani Misalucha, Joyce Jimenez, and Vicky Morales, among many others.
