Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has donated two of her treasured items to Shop&Share, a charity auction raising funds for mass testing of underprivileged Filipinos.
The project is organized by ABS-CBN stars Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, and Dimples Romana.
One of the items being auctioned is the pin that Catriona wore during the preliminary competition of the Miss Universe pageant at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 13, 2018.
The pin is traditionally issued by the pageant's organization to all of its candidates.
Catriona's pin had a starting bid of PHP20,000. After 12 bids, it is now valued at PHP250,000.
In her Instagram stories posted last Tuesday, June 9, Catriona said the pin has a sentimental value for her, but she decided to donate it for the greater good.
She wrote, "My MU candidate pin that I wore in the prelims of Miss Universe means so much to me, but I've decided to dedicate to a cause.
"It's currently up for auction. All proceeds going towards aiding the government's efforts to provide mass testing."
Aside from the pin, the winning bidder will also receive a "personal, handwritten note on the Official Miss Universe 2018 Comp-Card" from Catriona.
Catriona is also auctioning for charity a pair of crystal-embellished Karen Millen heels.
The starting bid for her high heels was PHP16,000. They are so far worth over PHP30,000 after eight bids.
The bidding for both items will end on June 11, 2020, at 9 a.m.
