Alex Gonzaga was a sight to behold during her wedding with longtime boyfriend Mikee Morada.
In a YouTube vlog she uploaded on her 33rd birthday last Saturday, January 16, 2021, Alex and Mikee revealed that they got married in November 2020.
On Alex's vlog, the couple also shared to their followers some videos taken on their wedding day.
The 33-year-old Kapamilya host looked elegant in her minimalist bridal dress as she walked down the stairs of their home in Taytay, Rizal, where her intimate wedding with Mikee was held.
Alex's no-frills bridal dress was custom-made by Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel. She paired it with lace heels from Manolo Blahnik.
For her bridal look, Alex was styled by Cath Sobrevega.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Viber, Cath said Alex has always dreamed of wearing a simple wedding dress.
She told PEP.ph, "Cathy [Alex] is an old soul. Her style is classic, elegant, and romantic. For her intimate wedding, she wanted it to be as simple as possible.
"We decided to go for a midi dress with a removable Mutton sleeve paired with Manolo Blahnik flats feeling like she came from the Victorian era."
Alex's wedding gown looked structured, but Rajo made it light and flowy using sheer organza, silk faille, and silk organdy.
Cath added, "We sent a mood board to Rajo and he sketched this beautifully structured dress with puff sleeves overlay in organza.
"Rajo made sure that even if we will be doing volume, the fabric to be used will still be very light. Alex was really happy with how Rajo executed her dream wedding dress for her civil wedding."
Rajo shared more details about his inspiration for Alex's wedding dress in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph via Instagram's direct message.
He said, "I was inspired by two periods of fashion the Victorian era as exemplified by the dramatic sleeves and the 1950s with the fitted bodice and the full skirt.
"We used a silk faille for the dress and a silk organdie for the overblouse which she removed for the dinner.
"I wanted something simple but memorable."
Meanwhile, her bridal glam team includes Denise Ochoa for makeup and Jerry Buanjavier for hair.

Alex and Mikee have been a couple for four years before they got married.
The couple first announced their relationship in 2016. In December 2019, Alex and Mikee got engaged.
They were supposed to get married in October 2020 but they had to postpone it after they both tested positive for COVID-19.
