It has been an eventful year so far for Heart Evangelista, who, during the early part of 2016, began reintroducing herself to the public as Love Marie.
Her real first name, she says, is her “artist” persona.
In January, Love Marie's first major endeavor was a fashion collection collaboration with designer and friend Mark Bumgarner.
Dubbed Love Marie x Mark Bumgarner, it showcased gowns designed by Mark with details hand-painted by Love Marie.
She also held her fourth solo art exhibit titled Oceans Apart by Love Marie in Ayala Museum.
In July, the self-confessed makeup lover launched her own set of lippies under the brand Happy Skin.
Today we launched #HappySkinXLoveMarie my very own lipstick line with doodles #LMdetails #lovemarie on the packaging :) I'd like to thank @happyskin_ph for all the love and hard work and for allowing me to collaborate with them for this very special project ?????? a project I love and will share with #corridorofhope ?????? indeed a "happy" day for a "happy heart" dreams do come true...:) endless possibilities with a childlike faith and hard work!:) #lovemarie @iamlovemarie_e c/o @rynong
For her second art exhibit, Carry Your HeART, this year, Heart finally put on display her hand-painted Hermes bags.
On October 12, at the Aruga by Rockwell Hotel, Love Marie launched Heart’s first perfume Linger.
In an exclusive interview with the multi-hyphenated artist during the perfume launch, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked how far does Heart plan out her ventures?
“It’s for life, you know. This is just one of my launches, and I have other things I wanna launch, so [you] just have to space it out.
“I’m concentrating more on the brand Love Marie and the other things I wanna venture into.”
Soon, she will have a home line, and, who knows, even a baby clothing line.
Ultimately, the backbone of Love Marie as brand has been Heart’s personal journey as a person.
She remarked, “When I look back at my life and the things that I’ve been through, you know, it’s all like a package deal.
“It’s all meant to be one purpose, you know.
"It’s a brand for your life story and the way you live your life.
“It’s a journey, and I hope they join or take part of my journey as I venture into being a woman, a wife, and a mother eventually.”
