Well, they didn't.

"It really wasn't planned. The hair, the makeup, the look, we planned it on the day itself," Liza told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview before she was introduced as the new endorser of Technomarine last Saturday, December 3.

What about her bangs, which became all the rage among her fans?

"Actually, we didn't have a plan at all. I just said, 'Put my hair up.'

"'Tapos, maya-maya, inayos ng hairstylist ko 'yong bangs ko," said Liza.

The 18-year-old Kapamilya actress said she did not expect getting too much attention that evening.

She recalled, “The gown nga, I only saw the night before the ball, so we were all nervous about it. At least, we were all able to pull it off."

So, when she read all the positive comments, Liza's reaction was: "It's so overwhelming!

"I got so overwhelmed after the ball. I really didn't expect it.

"I thought I was going to be bashed, actually."

Liza did not only get everyone's attention that night, she also bagged the Best Dressed Female award.

Some netizens even called the affair "the Liza Soberano Ball."

But she shared the feat with her glam team.

"...they really helped me out, they really made me feel beautiful that night," Liza said.

"I'm not really conscious about that,” the Dolce Amore actress shyly replied.

"When I dress up, I like to dress up with something I'm comfortable in.

"If I'm not, I will not naman refuse pero iniiwasan ko to wear those kind of outfit.

"Basta I'm the type of person na if I'm comfortable talaga, I'll wear anything."

She stressed in the end, “But no, I'm not conscious na when I go out, I have to impress.
