Say Alonzo describes herself a “kikay mom.”
And if you browse through her Instagram feed, you’ll spot a couple of designer bags.
She has an Hermés Birkin…
…a Gucci Marmont quilted leather backpack…
…and her favorite Prada bag, among others.
But Say said she is far from being materialistic.
At the launch of Philips MOM app, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Never naman.
"Hindi ako mahilig sa mga kung anu-ano. Whatever I have, I’m very thankful.
"Hindi ako mahilig sa mga designer stuff."
She’s lucky, however, to have a "sponsor."
Smiling, the social media influencer continued, "Whatever designer stuff I own, you would be surprised, I did not buy them.
"They were given to me by my mom."
PRECIOUS BAG. Since she started earning, Say revealed she only bought one designer bag with her own money.
"Hindi siya Hermés or anything. It's LV [Louis Vuitton].
"I bought one designer bag before because everyone was telling me na, 'You’re an artista, you have to have a designer bag.'
"Sabi ko, 'Hindi, okay na sa ’kin kung ano man yung meron diyan na mas mura, Zara or Topshop or Mango.'
"But I still bought.
"I remember, super bitbit ko parati yung LV nun. I was proud."
Say said the bag remains in her possession until today.
"The bag is still there. It’s the first one kasi, and then the next was Mango."
PRIORITY. Now that she’s a mommy, she’s glad that she’s not obsessed about growing her bag collection.
"Nung nagka-baby ako, naisip ko na, 'A, tama pala na hindi ako naging materialistic.’ In fact, hindi ko naiisip ang mga bag-bag.
"Mas marami kasing mas importante sa iyo kapag nanay ka."
And what are her priorities?
"Ngayon sa akin, yung health. Perfect one hundred percent health. That’s all I pray for every night and day na maging mas healthy kaming family.
"Kasi, you can work for money naman, e.
"Basta, sabi ko nga, ‘Uy, kahit hindi ako mag-artista, okay lang sa akin kasi graduate naman ako, maparaan naman ako, madiskarte naman ako.'
"So sabi ko, basta magpi-pray lang ako for good health kasi pag wala yun, wala kang magagawa."
