Marian Rivera meets Portuguese designer Joao Rolo. Zia is in the picture, too.

Back in November 2016, Portuguese designer Joao Rolo expressed his desire to design gowns for Marian Rivera.

Finally, the haute couture designer and the Kapuso Prime-Time Queen met in Lisbon, Portugal.

The actress is presently touring Europe with her husband Dingdong Dantes and daughter Zia.

Jao's first design for Marian was a black dress with lavender and light-blue floral appliques that she wore to the premiere night of The Unmarried Wife, a 2016 Star Cinema film starring Dingdong.

Another time, another occasion, the actress wore a lilac wrap dress by Joao.

Fast forward to this Easter weekend, Marian and Joao finally met.

It happened at the home of Madame Ambassador Celia Feria, the Philippine envoy to Portugal.

Ambassador Feria hosted an Easter Salubong dinner attended by the Dantes family, Joao, and other friends and dignitaries.

The following day, Joao welcomed Marian to his atelier.

Here, he updated his measurement of Marian for another possible creation.

The designer also took little Zia’s measurements.

He wrote in his Instagram caption, “My future model came to take measurements.

“It's beautiful is not it?”

Before leaving Portugal, Marian took several photos with Joao, and captioned: “Thank you for making our Portugal trip extra special, @joao_rolo_couture.

“Now that we have upgraded our friendship from virtual to real, I am looking forward to more interactions (and bonding moments) with you and your team.

“Next time, allow me to be your host when you come to the Philippines.

“Bye for now. Much love from my family to yours!”

In return, Joao wrote in his caption, “A picture is worth a thousand words (heart emoji) @marianrivera”
