Heart Evangelista's shopping tip: "Save up for something you really like."

Heart Evangelista prefers to invest in one quality fashion piece rather than buying cheaper but low quality versions.

For Heart Evangelista, shopping is all about being “smart with your money.”

She tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “When you’re a fashionista or when you love to dress up, it’s not just about being down and spending all of your life’s savings. You have to be smart about what you buy.”

The GMA-7 actress-host sees this as investing your money in fashion pieces with quality and style that can withstand the test of time and surpass seasonal trends.

She notes, “For me, I would invest on a Chanel jacket because I know that it would last me until I’m old. So, technically, that’s buying one jacket than buying 2,000 [less expensive] jackets.”

But what if the fashion item you want to buy is costly?

Heart insists on saving up for it, instead of settling for something that is cheaper, but just end up at the back of your closet.

She remarks, “You’ll regret if you buy something second to what you really want, because you’re still gonna get that jacket or you’re still gonna get those shoes.

“So even if it takes you a long time to get it, it doesn’t matter. You’re gonna really love it and treasure it.

“Save up for something you really like.”
