Amid health crisis, Kris Bernal closes restaurant "until further notice"

In an Instagram post on July 10, 2020, Kris Bernal (left) announced that she and fiancé Perry Choi (right) will be closing their samgyupsal restaurant House of Gogi.

Challenging ang maging negosyante sa gitna ng pandemic dahil kailangan mong protektahan hindi lamang ang iyong benta, kundi pati ang kalusugan ng iyong staff.

Health comes first para kay Kapuso star at entrepreneur Kris Bernal, kung kaya't naisipan nila ng kanyang fiancé na si Perry Choi na pansamantalang isara na muna ang kanilang samgyupsal restaurant na House of Gogi.

Unang binuksan ng magnobyo ang House of Gogi sa Dapitan 55 Lifestyle Complex, Quezon City, noong August 2017 bago ito inilipat sa Banawe Street nitong February 15, 2020 lamang.

Kanilang pansamantalang itinigil ang operations ng restaurant bilang alinsunod sa community quarantine sa Luzon noong March 15.

Nagreopen sila para sa takeout at delivery services noong May 24, at inanunsyo ito ni Kris sa kanyang Instagram account noong May 28.

Sabi ni Kris, "Finding ways to adapt and thrive even with all these challenges thrown at me.

"Reopening @houseofgogiph with a takeout and delivery only business model.

"That alone was a big shift for me. I have 18 staff all in all at House of Gogi and they’re taking rounds with work shifts.

"It just brings that extra warmth to my heart, that I’m doing something good for them. Supporting them the best I can until everyone can get back on their feet again.

"There's a very real, very human story behind every entrepreneur, big or small, at a time like this.

"It’s a hard situation because you’re being brave, but inside you’re also fearful.

"In times like these, God shows me that while life is uncertain, my trust is in Him."

Subalit wala pang isang buwan ay inanunsyo ni Kris na mananatili nang sarado ang House of Gogi "until further notice."

Sabi ni Kris sa kanyang post nitong July 10, "2020 is not a year to make profit. Just make sure to stay alive.

"Thank you so much for the overwhelming support for @houseofgogiph, especially during the past few months.

"While our goal is to serve you the best Korean dishes, our staff’s safety is our top priority right now.

"The increasing number of positive cases is alarming, and we should do our best to prevent the spread of the virus.

"Hence, we’ll be temporarily closing #HouseofGogiBanawe until further notice."

Bagamat mahirap para kay Kris ibalita ito sa kanyang followers, nagpapasalamat ang 31-year-old actress na magkasama sila ni Perry, 36, sa pagsubok na ito.

Pagpapatuloy ni Kris, "To my fiance, @choi.perry, thank you for helping me through all these tough times in life. I love you so much.

"Our hearts and our prayers go out to those businesses that are struggling right now."

Habang pansamantalang ititigil ni Kris ang operations ng House of Gogi, mananatiling active ang kanyang makeup brand na SHE Cosmetics online.
