Sunnies Cafe

From the people behind Sunnies Studios, Georgina Wilson, Martine Cajucom, Eric Dee Jr., and Bea Soriano-Dee expand their lifestyle brand to food and dining.

Offering a menu meant to serve you from "brunch to dinner, coffee to cocktails," this hip and Instagrammable cafe is the perfect place to reunite with your gal pals.

So far, it has two branches: Bonifacio High Street in Taguig and SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.

Must try: Crispy Tacos

This crowd favorite features three crispy Parmesan tacos stuffed with asada steak, fried eggs, and cilantro cream sauce.

For a laid-back holiday afternoon with the squad, keep things light with Papermoon's crepe cakes and hot drinks.

Kite Kebab Bar

The place was a "passion project" for fomer PBB housemate Kian Kazemi.

It used to be a residential place, which Kian converted into a Mediterranean bar which now serves modern takes on his grandmother's Iranian home-cooked dishes.

Up in the north side of the metro, there's Meat Kris found in the CommuniEaty Roces Food Hub along Don A. Roces Avenue in Quezon City.

This is Kris's take on the classic cheese burger.

What sets it apart from the rest is that this burger has a large deep-fried mozzarella stick placed inside with gooey cheese cascading down its handcrafted 100% pure beef patty.

The Burgery

For the PEPsters residing in the south, JC de Vera co-owns this burger joint which takes pride in its monstrous, stacked-up burgers.

Must try: Fat Tony

This hefty meal is made out of one-third pure beef patty, cheese sauce, sliced cheese, chopped romaine, tomatoes, and The Burgery sauce.

Holiday dinner with the family

Naxional South American Diner

Daniel Matsunaga and his family opened their second restaurant in Bonifacio Global City.

This one offers a mix of South American dishes.

The Brazilian dishes are family recipes that Daniel and his sister Vanessa grew up with.

Must try: Elote

It's a flavorful twist to the cheese and corn snack.

A popular Mexican street food, the sweet corn is chargrilled and drizzled with mayo lime, chili butter, and crumbled cheese.

This dish is part of Spot.ph's list of 50 best things we ate this 2016.

Nikuya Grill

Craving for a new shabu-shabu and grill experience?

Go to Capital Commons in Pasig and look for Nikuya Grill.

This is Grace Lee's fourth restaurant venture and her first dive into a full Japanese and Korean dining concept.

Must try: Yukhwe Bibimbap

On top of the fresh cuts and vegetables that the restaurant offers, it also serves rice bowls.

In case you're a fan of Japanese food, this restaurant should be in your go-to list.

It offers the first and only "cook-your-own okonomiyaki experience."

Okonomiyaki literally means "cooking what you want."

Dohtonbori Philippines launched its first branch in Greenhills.

Must try: Mixed Okonomiyaki

It has squid, pork, shrimp, octopus, tempura bits, red pickled ginger, egg, onions, and cabbage.


One of the newly-opened restaurants in SM Megamall is Botejyu.

It is Japan's pioneer okonomiyaki and okosoba specialty restaurant from Osaka, the country's food capital.

Botejyu Philippines first opened in SM Mall of Asia.

Must try: Original Okosoba

An original of the restaurant, the Okosoba is a "well-balanced hearty dish with thick yakisoba noodles and tons of cabbage sandwiched between batter and fried egg."

It is flavored with a secret sauce, Osaka mayonnaise and Japanese mustard.
