Nikki Valdez's Instagram feed is dominated by her idol, her daughter Olivia.
The 11-year-old celebrity kid has symbrachydactyly, "a rare congenital hand defect in which the fingers are abnormally short and webbed or conjoined."
And the actress has been chronicling on Instagram her milestones using the hashtag "MyOY," in which OY stands for Olivia Ysabelle.
She's also proud of the many things Olivia's "baby hand" can do.
Her January 8 post showed Olivia using her mobile device.
Nikki's long caption read, "Took this stolen shot of our baba last week holding the phone with her 'baby hand.' This is just one of the many things she could do with it.
"Minsan, nakaka-amaze din makita na yung dating kinakatakot namin na pagtatawanan at iiwasan siya dahil sa kamay niya, hindi pala. Actually, ang cute nga o! Hehe!
"Babe, I want you to know that I am happy that you accept the person that you are.
"Despite your being different, you are loved by many most specially me and our whole family.
"Before each day ends, let us never fail to let our kids know we love them no matter what and that being different does not mean we are less of a person as long as we continue to do good and be good to others..."
Olivia is also into dancing, and her mom is always "kilig na kilig" seeing her do the steps "effortlessly."
In her caption, she exclaimed, "I am now your number 1 fan!!! Haha! Anak, when we feel like giving up or losing hope at some point in life, let us look back to this day when we were given the chance to show everyone how we managed to discover our inner strength instead of giving in to our weaknesses.
"Araw araw ko ipinagpapasalamat na ibinigay ka sa akin ni Lord because you taught me to become strong and you are my daily reminder that everything is possible as long as you believe you can do it."
For Olivia's pompoms, Nikki gave her husband Luis Garcia a shout-out for his resourcefulness.
In another post, the Kapamilya star said Luis used "a magnet (the ones we install in our cars para mag-hold ng phone) and leucoplast to hold half of the magnet to her little palm."
Her caption remarked, "Sabi nga nila if there’s a will, there’s a way!!! Look at Olivia naman, nakapag-perform nang mabuti. We love you, Dada!!! #MyOY"
In October 2019, Olivia started dabbling in painting again.
She first showed interest in painting four years ago.
Most of all, according to Nikki, Olivia is mabait, and serves as her "extra hands" whenever she needs one.
