How Korina Sanchez sheds 10 lbs. with diet tracking app

Celebrities have kept themselves busy in a variety of ways while in self-isolation.

For seasoned broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas, it means more time to focus on her fitness goal.

In an Instagram post on Monday, May 11, Korina wrote, "Finally lost the 10 pounds just yesterday. From 121 lbs before lockdown to 111 lbs."

The Kapamilya news anchor said it started with her keto diet, which is described as a low-carb, high-fat diet that can help one lose weight and improve health.

But Korina warned those who might want to try it to consult with their doctors first.

She wrote, "Im sure youll be asking (again), haha. And my answer will be the SAME... Kase ang pangarap ng iba, pumayat nang nakahiga lang.

"Won't happen, sorry hahaha. No pain, no gain.

"Maybe consult your family doctor about your diet first?

"I went back to Keto. 20g only of carbohydrates a day.

"I limit myself to 1500 calories daily total. I have a diet tracker app. Get one.

"Counts calories."

In a separate post last May 13, Wednesday, Korina shared the diet monitoring app she has been using over the past weeks.

She wrote, "Look for the Keto Diet Tracker in the App Store.

"Look for this logo kase marami ang Keto apps. Just download.

"It will ask for your body type, current weight and height, and your target weight.

"Then it will tell you how many calories you should limit yourself to in a day.

"Parang may metro. When you punch in what you will eat, it will tell you how much carbs, proteins, fat and total calories that food will use up."

Korina said that losing weight became easier for her with the diet tracking app, but she reiterated that a doctor's consultation is a must before starting a diet program.

She continued, "Anyway, it'll give you the instructions. Once I started tracking my carbs and calories, mabilis ang pagpayat.

"Consult your doctor first, okay? Goodluck on your journey towards your #BestLife."

For her exercise, Korina said, "I hop to music with 5lb dumbells in each hand. 200x.

"That's a good workout. Try to sleep 8 hours. Lots of water. That's it.
