Victoria's Secret model Kelsey Merritt said the stress caused by the ongoing health crisis has increased her craving for comfort food.
An exercise buff, Kelsey admitted that for a time, she had been remiss in doing her fitness routine while in isolation in her pad in Los Angeles, California.
For about a month, instead of exercising to de-stress, the Filipino-American model went into frenzy cooking a repertoire of Pinoy dishes.
She said at a digital press conference of Viva Artist Agency on Wednesday, June 24, "Some days, I don't have the motivation to [exercise]...
"This pandemic has been very stressful for a lot of people, and it's been very stressful for me as well.
"There was like a month where I couldn't get myself to work out. I just wanted, like, comfort food.
"So I was cooking and making a lot of Filipino food. And, yeah, so sometimes, I don't work out."
As could be expected, Kelsey gained weight after all that cooking and eating binges.
But she assured at the presscon she has gotten back on fitness track.
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "I've been baking and eating so much, and I gained a few pounds
"But that's okay, I've been working out more recently."
The Sports Illustrated model added she's been doing her workouts now almost every day.
"I would say one hour is the most and depending on how I feel, I would go for like 10 minutes to an hour.
"Sometimes, I'll just do a 10-minute ab workout or 10-minute butt workout."
According to Kelsey, she has been following an app called Alo Moves, which includes yoga exercise and Pilates to burn down the calories.
She also has been getting instructions from the workout classes online of fitness trainer Megan Roup.
Kelsey said, "I do a lot of Pilates, home workouts, I follow Megan Roup's classes, I go to Alo Yoga [or] Alo Moves workouts.
"So there's a lot of home workouts that I follow, some from my memory that I know I just can do on my own.
"I do love Pilates so much and that's one of my main workouts."
