Coleen Garcia, who is now nine months pregnant, has been keeping up with her exercise routines.
And every now and then she posts her pregnancy workouts on her Instagram feeds.
According to Coleen, she has consulted a doctor about continuing with her workouts as a preparation for home birth.
She said in this interview via e-mail with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on Monday, August 24, 2020, "It definitely helps. A lot!
"I started off still doing the workouts I was used to doing, from lightweights to indoor cycling.
"But once my belly got bigger, I started slowing down according to what my body could handle."
Currently, Coleen is focused on exercises that will strengthen her pelvic floor muscles, which are crucial during the pushing stage of birth.
The 27-year-old mom-to-be said, "I now attend one-on-one online Prenatal Pilates classes with Options Studio BGC, and the movements are minimal compared to what I’m used to.
"But they focus on engaging and strengthening my pelvic floor muscles, which I will need for labor and recovery.
"The key is to never overexert! Working out should make you feel stronger and more energized, not the opposite."
She added, "I really believe that having a healthy lifestyle is one of the reasons why I didn’t go through a hard time while pregnant.
"I feel strong and conditioned, and eating healthy also makes all the difference.
"They say when you’re pregnant, you have a 'glow,' and even that I believe is also because of trying to be at my healthiest and giving up any bad habits and vices."
Coleen was already five months pregnant when she and her husband Billy Crawford announced the good news on May 1, 2020, in their social media accounts.
They had a beach wedding at the Balesin Island Club on April 20, 2018.
