Kryz Uy and Slater Young's second child Sevi is now recovering from surgery.

On July 20, 2022, the vlogger mom uploaded a new YouTube video titled "Hospital Diary," which detailed what happened hours before and after Sevi's surgery.

Earlier this week in July 17, Kryz revealed that Sevi has been diagnosed with inguinal hernia, which, according to MayoClinic.org, "occurs when tissue, such as part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles." Surgery is the only way to fix it.

In the first part of the vlog, the couple seemed to be keeping a strong front as they made cute puns with Sevi's name.

While Kryz was in a serious mood, explaining how Sevi had to undergo many laboratory exams that day, Slater joked, "Oh, anong Sevi niya?" which ultimately brought a smile to Kryz's face.

After she complained that Slater is such a bad vlogger, the Pinoy Big Brother: Unlimited winner kidded once more, "Sevihin mo naman nang maayos."

To which Kryz replied, "Sevi ko he's so tired because he was supposed to be asleep kanina for his nap, but so many people wanted to touch him, get his vitals, chest x-ray, bloodwork... so parang di talaga siya nakatulog. So now he's so tired, he doesn't even wanna drink milk."

Halfway through the vlog, Kryz began to show signs of distress as they were moments away from Sevi's operation.

At 5:00 a.m. on the day of the surgery, which was also the day Sevi turned eight weeks old, the nurse station instructed Kryz to give baby Sevi a bath so they could proceed with more lab exams needed for surgery clearance.

Kryz said, "When you're a mom, you unlock certain emotions. And, you know, me going into surgery is scary, but it's not as painful as this.

"It's not as masakit sa puso as this, when your kids are the ones who have to go under the knife. Especially when they have to go through all of these labs and you know, they don't know what's going on."

She recalled trying to comprehend Sevi's body language. "I just feel it with Sevi that he's so confused and he doesn't know what's going on, and he just wants to be held and he just wants it to be over. It's so painful as a parent to see that."

When Sevi was finally cleared for surgery, Kryz began crying outside the operating room. "As you guys can see, I'm a hot mess. I hope Sevi will be okay."

After Sevi's successful operation, Kryz found time to tell her followers about what she felt was "the longest hour of my life."

Kryz looked back on the experience, "He was wheeled into surgery at around 9:30 in the morning, and I was there in the O.R. with him until he was fully sedated which was at 10:00.

"At that time, I was a complete mess because I was so scared and I was watching him get sedated.

"And it's just the scariest thing ever to see your kid from being super fussy and crying his eyes out, to suddenly like just falling asleep in an instant," she continued.

She also said that after spending the night with their first son Scott at home, Slater went to them right away.

"Slater came, I didn't even get to show you guys, but Slater was here the whole time, trying to be present for emotional support for mom, not for Sevi, 'cause Sevi was totally fine," she laughed.
