Here's a rundown of some of the gym exercises she does:

Battle ropes

What it does to your body: Tone your arms, abs, and shoulders.

Plus, according to a study in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, ten 15-second battle rope intervals will boost your heart rate and burn calories equivalent to a ten-minute run. (via WomensHealthMag.com)

Dumbbell forward lunges

What it does to your body: Lunges work out your core and leg muscles. Doing them with dumbbells improves your posture, too.

Try doing ten reps for each leg every day to get your body started. (via FitWirr.com)

Bench dips

What it does to your body: Aside from engaging your core, bench dips also work out your triceps.

It also helps you work on your upper body strength, which you'll need for most of your physical activities.

How do you get started? For beginners, it's recommended to first place your feet flatly on the floor, changing their elevation once you feel the need to change things up a bit.

Planking

What it does to your body: As Coach Mark shared with us for our article about Pia Wurtzbach's workout, planking "is one of the best exercises for a flat, toned stomach because it works all the muscles in your core, including the rectus abdominus or the 'six-pack muscles' you can see.

"We made sure to do this because we're really preparing for the swimsuit competition."
