Actress KC Concepcion will turn 33 on April 7, and her birthday wish is also her goal.
She said, "April birthday ko na, and gusto ko mag-beach.
"So kailangan bikini-ready body! Payat yung waist, payat lahat!"
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with the Kapamilya star last February 1, at the launch of Nespresso Boutique in Powerplant Mall, Makati City.
In this exclusive interview, PEP.ph learned more about her new healthy lifestyle.
The 32-year-old actress narrated, "Six months kasi yung minimum na binibigay ko sa katawan ko.
"I'm halfway there pa lang, mahirap yung minsan ang dami mo nang ginagawang workout
"'Tapos napi-feel mo parang, 'Meron bang progress?'
"Parang iba yung feeeling ng ine-expect ko na super payat agad.
"Pero, I think, pag hindi biglaan, mas matagal talaga yung process.
"Pero mas matagal mong mame-maintain."
FITSPIRATION. It's been four months since she started working out, and her routines include cross-fit training, swimming, and Pilates.
KC admitted feeling defeated sometimes, "Every day, every day talaga, pero may mga times na parang hindi mo nakikita yung progress.
"Kailangan may ibahin ka rin, so maganda rin minsan mag-rest."
But she's also motivated to keep going.
"May mga pictures ako sa room ko.
"Kunyare yung pictures ko before, yung body na yun, yun yung gusto ko.
"Naka-print yun 'tapos nakalagay sa wall ko para sa fitspiration."
SPECIAL CHOCOLATES. KC said she complements her workout with proper diet.
"I stay away from yung mga food na nakaka-bloat.
"I take a lot of vegetables talaga and effort sa akin yun this year.
"Talaga isa sa mga resolutions ko is kumain ng mas maraming gulay.
"I try to stay away yung food na nakakataba, siyempre."
The actress shared that the new diet trend called Ketogenic won't work for her.
She is into a different diet plan: portioning.
KC explained, "Yung portioning, ganun. Depende rin yung keto sa body makeup mo, e.
"So yung sa akin, may mga diet na uso ngayon na hindi puwede sa katawan ko."
A chocolate lover, KC said she has found a way to enjoy chocolates even if she's on a diet.
The TV host/actress said, "If ever kakain ako ng chocolate, dark chocolate lang.
"Walang milk or sugar, if ever; meron din akong friend na gumagawa ng chocolate.
"So she makes special chocolates for me for pre- and post-workout kung kinakailangan."
