Anne Curtis Smith and Kris Bernal are among the celebrities who joined various fun runs over the weekend.


Celebrities such as Kris Bernal, Anne Curtis, Dingdong Dantes, and many others joined various fun runs in and outside of the metro over the weekend.

KRIS BERNAL

GMA-7 actress Kris Bernal had her "me time" earlier today, February 25, at Zark's Ultimate Run 2018 at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

Kris joined the 5K run and placed first in the category.

She uploaded a photo of her latest athletic feat on Instagram and expressed how much she misses running. 

She wrote, "I won first place in a 5k race today. ???????????? After years of not running “outdoor”, I missed it a lot.

"I was asked if I wanted to join the 10k run, but I declined, dahil alam kong ikatutuyo at ikapapayat ko lang. ????????‍??

"I just love running without a goal of losing weight. It's adventure for me, It's me against the busy world.

KIM CHIU

ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu went all the way to Clark, Pampanga for the Pilipinas Duathlon Series 2018 Leg 1.

The 27-year-old Star Magic talent finished running and biking a total of 32 kilometers early today, February 25.

No falls were reported, thankfully.

ANNE CURTIS

Anne Curtis joined the SMDC Fun Run 2018 earlier today, February 25, at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

The Kapamilya actress finished a half-marathon in shared a photo of her finisher's medal on her Instagram account.

This is part of her preparations for the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon scheduled for April 22.

Anne was proud of her finishing the 21-kilometer run in 2 hours and 9 minutes, at an average rate of 6 minutes and 4 seconds per kilometer.

The It's Showtime host wrote, "WARNING: Sundays are turning into annoying selfie days ???????? No one up this early at home ????????‍?? Sorry! Just sharing my journey as I clock in my mileage with 2 MONTHS TO GO till the LONDON MARATHON! ????

"Trying to join every fun run I can! I perform so much better with other runners. I suck training alone ???? 21km in the bag this morning! 6:04 pace finishing it in 2:09 ( check my IG stories for time) Was pretty happy!"

The Viva Talent, however, expressed her frustration over unforeseen delays as runners had to pause to let the traffic flow. 

Nevertheless, Anne remained proud of her latest achievement.

"Only frustrating part was when we had to stop to let traffic pass. I would seriously try with all my might to try and sprint before they stopped runners to let the cars pass. Pero d ako umaabot. Momentum goes poof.

"Legs feel like jello no matter how much I try to jog in place ???? Thanks to Kuya Pacer na sumabay sa akin na taga Mandaluyong! Laking tulong ng flashlight over the Buendia flyover na walang lights ????????Thaaaaaank you po!

ERWAN HEUSSAFF AND NICO BOLZICO

Anne's husband Erwann Heussaff joined a different race last Saturday, February 24.

He joined the Spartan Race at Sandbox in Porac, Pampanga, along with his brother-in-law Nico Bolzico.

On Instagram, the 31-year-old restaurateur/vlogger admitted that it was challenging to finish the trail run and obstacle courses under the sun's scorching heat.

Erwan wrote, "Race day is over. Tough, dusty and longer than expected @spartanraceph Super. Definitely need to work on my Trail running and concentrate on reading the rules next time to avoid those deadly burpees. Obstacles were all fun, but that sand run in the sun was death."

ALEX DIAZ

Star Magic talent Alex Diaz also joined the Spartan Race last Saturday. The singer/actor placed 32nd among over 1,283 participants in the obstacle run.

"I scored 32/1286 Overall and 3rd in my age group with a time of 1 hour 48m (except i didn’t sign up for age group ????)! DINGDONG DANTES, RODJUN CRUZ, MARCO ALCARAZ, AND JOSE SARASOLA

Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes and Rodjun Cruz also finished the race along with Marco Alcaraz and Jose Sarasola.

Rodjun shared their group photo on Instagram while flashing their finisher's medal and wrote, "Ngiting tagumpay!???????? Congrats brothers @dongdantes @chefjosesarasola @marcoalcaraz! Arooo!????????????‍?????? #SpartanRacePH #RunRodjunrun"
