When Patricia Javier and her American husband Rob Walcher saw this four-story house with five bedrooms two years ago, they saw possibilities.
Formerly based in the United States in San Diego, California, U.S.A, Patricia and Rob began testing the waters in the Philippines in 2014.
In an interview with Journal in 2018 , Ron, a chiropractor, had said, “I agreed on condition that we’d return to the U.S. if nothing happened in six months."
And so they ventured in opening a wellness facility in 2016, calling it the Doc Rob Chiropractic Wellness, and hoping it would turn out well.
But it was only when they moved into this four-story house in a quiet neighborhood in Quezon City that the couple finally decided to take up permanent residency here.
Patricia is also glad that she now lives near her parents and siblings, whom she continues to support financially.
The business she and Rob started has also done well. The Doc Rob Chiropractic Wellness now has three branches: two in Quezon City and one in Makati City. A fourth branch will soon open in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City.
They also launched their chiropractic pillow business.
A GOOD PLACE FOR HANGING OUT WITH FAMILY
No matter how Patricia and Ron can get busy tending to their chiropractic and wellness clinic, they always make good time hanging out with their sons—Ryan, 13, and Robert, 8—at home.
Patricia told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Iyan talaga ang priority dapat.
"We have dinner together, dapat. There was a time nga, we all sleep sa iisang bed."
PEP.ph had a chance to visit the Walchers at their home just before the community lockdown was put in place.
The actress said she fell in love with the house's "homey" ambience and the friendly neighborhood, where her sons Robert and Ryan have found friends to play with.
The master's bedroom and entertainment room are both on the second floor.
The couple shares a walk-in closet.
Doc Rob, at home, is a family man through and through.

The third floor is where the kid's room is.
Ryan is now taller than his mom.
On Instagram, the former actress described her firstborn as "kind, loving , generous, respects others and most of all, have faith to our father God..."
Robert, on the other hand, is very malambing.
The fourth floor is Rob's "man cave," where he can literally spend hours happily assembling Lego and model cars with his kids.
This was the first Lego plane that Rob assembled for one month.
Part of his collection are these expensive cars, which cost from PHP15,000 to PHP25,000.
These toys are among his prized posessions. Most of them cost at least US$200.
