Here's an update on the construction of Sharon Cuneta's "forever home": Its basement parking is halfway done.
The video she posted on Instagram last February 11, 2021, gave more than a glimpse of the property, which the fans have called "mega mall" and "mega mansion," not just because Megastar is pinned onto Sharon in showbiz but because the house area is truly massive.
Some netizens have likened the rising structure to a hotel and a "malaking office building."
According to the Megastar, the construction started on August 1, 2020, and will likely be finished in "a little over two years."
By then, Sharon hopes "sana din wala nang pandemya noon."
She doesn't mind the long wait, so long as "super tibay at magaling ang pagkakagawa at pulido."
The house owner adds: "Kakayanin daw ng bahay namin kahit lindol na intensity 9-10."
Sharon did not forget to give a shout-out to the people involved in the construction.
"Galing my workers. Everyone just works and works and in such an organized manner! Galing my contractor, Onet Limchoc of @limchoc.construction and siempre my architect @conrad_onglao ! Praying all goes well til the end."
SHARON CUNETA'S FORMER VACATION HOME
The first time the actress/ host/ singer mentioned her family's "forever home" was on July 3, 2020.
Located in Ayala Westgrove Heights, a residential development by Ayala Land in Silang, Cavite, and adjacent to Santa Rosa, Laguna, it used to be their vacation home.
Part of her long caption read: "When the original house was demolished, it took with it all their memories.
“It has taken us years to start rebuilding the new one because I got into debt of hundreds of millions. Now, am okay. I pray that we are able to complete this before they all grow up, get married, and move out!
“May it be a blessed, happy home. Less house, more home. It was originally going to have 3,500sqm of floor area. Not anymore!!! Thank You, Lord for giving us another chance to give our children this home. We praise and glorify you everyday!”
In August 2020, she gave her social-media followers a sneak peek of the design, and it included an area for a dog house, a playground, and a grooming corner for their pets.
