Dimples Romana is back on her YouTube channel with a new condo tour.
The actress revealed in September 2020 that she and husband Boyet Ahmee have acquired a new property in a posh area in Makati.
She then gave her fans a quick tour around the bare condo unit, disclosing as well her plan to turn it into her family's halfway house.
And now, five months later, Dimples is happy to show the halfway-finished condo.
Before and after
The family's "halfway home" has a "relaxed" ambiance as Dimples had envisioned, with its walls repainted in muted and soft hues, a recurrent motif in the entire condo.
Filipino-inspired designs and decors are seen all over, which is also Dimples's way of supporting local artisans.
The kitchen near the entrance hall is much smaller than the one in her family home in Paranaque.
Next to the kitchen is the dining and sofa area.
The mirror on the wall is replaced with a TV set, which can be stored inside the cabinet attached to it.
This area also faces the windows, which offers natural sunlight and a panoramic view of the city.
The sofa area has become one of the family's favorite hangout spots in the condo.
The staircase has been repainted in white to match the condo's softer color palette.
Its new color made the space much brighter.
To lend personal touches to the condo, Dimples has placed here and there mementos of family celebrations and milestones—including those of Daniela Mondragon, her famous character in the hugely successful Kadenang Ginto.
During her first condo tour, Dimples revealed she was able to purchase the property, thanks to the success of the ABS-CBN afternoon series.
Grateful, Dimples has made sure to have some bits of Daniela—or "Dani Girl" as fans called the character—around the place.
This art piece by National Artist BenCab is one of them.
The other is a sculpture of a gold dragon placed by the window area.
Dimples also brought in a photo of her father Bong, who passed away 20 years ago.
